Entre réel et numérique

Après quelques heures de travail me voici avec un Wordpress 2.5 fonctionnel sur mon blog. Il semble plus rapide et intègre de nouvelles fonctions intéressantes. Pour plus de détails, je vous conseil d’aller lire le billet de présentation de WordPress 2.5 par Matt sur le blog de Wordpress francophone. L’ensemble des nombreux plugins que j’utilise semble marcher correctement à l’exception du formulaire de contact et l’affichage du nombre de lectures des billets. Merci de me laisser me signaler d’éventuels soucis qui auraient échappé à mon contrôle de qualité (il faut préciser qu’il tard aussi :-)

Voila 6 mois que je suis passé sous Wordpress avec le thème Glossyblue de N. Design Studio traduit par Wordpress tuto. Ce thème était conçu sur 2 colonnes pour fonctionner sur une résolution d’écran de minimum 800 par 600. Vue très faible nombre de mes visiteurs utilisant cette résolution, je me suis décidé à transformer ce thème en 3 colonnes pour des écrans 1024 par 768.

Voilà, je viens d’effectuer ma transition de Wordpress 2.2.x à 2.3. Pour être sûr de ne rien casser, en premier lieu, j’ai réalisé une simulation de transition sur petit blog de test avec quelques billets et mon thème de mon blog actuel.

Il a fallu adapter légèrement mon thème suite au remplacement de Simple Tag par la gestion native des tags de Wordpress 2.3. Avec la procédure d’importation des tags, la transition des tags s’est très bien passée. Par contre, comme signale Fran6, la gestion des tags dans la version 2.3 est plus que basique… J’espère sérieusement que le programmeur de simple tag adaptera son plugin aux tags de Wordpress 2.3.

La prochaine étape sera le passage à la version 2.4 le 12 décembre. Il existe déjà 521 tickets dans la liste des developpeurs.. Courage :-)

Sinon, je n’ai pas découvert de problème de compatibilité avec mes nombreux plugins installés. Si vous en constatez, merci de me signaler..
